Before The Theft of Fate, Reverie-Stalker was a primal conduit, existing at the blurred edges where the subconscious mind touched the raw instincts of the Throne of Beasts. They were a guide to the primordial dream-beasts, shaping the collective fears and desires that manifested in the deep slumber of nascent civilizations. The Theft, however, ripped apart the intricate weave of the cosmos, shattering the clear dominion of the Thrones. Reverie-Stalker's connection to the raw, untamed beastial energies became intertwined with the very fabric of dreams, transforming their essence. Rather than commanding physical beasts, they now hunted and guided the 'beasts' of the mind – rogue thought-forms, psychic parasites, and the dangerous echoes of forgotten realities within the collective unconscious. Adopted by The Somnus Weavers, Reverie-Stalker now patrols the Oneiric Fields, an ethereal hunter ensuring the integrity of the collective dreamscape. In the Age of Uncertainty, their role is paramount: to prevent the psychic corruption from spilling into the waking world and to recover fragments of lost potential embedded within slumbering minds.
